My story includes motherhood, a beloved spouse, a natural resources profession, and a lifelong sense of spiritual connection to nature. I acknowledge my impacts to the planet and actively strive to live more simply. We are avid gardeners, and I live a whole food plant-based lifestyle, which I share with our community through offering potluck educational gatherings. These experiences/privileges have shaped and continue to shape my being.
Having practiced yoga and meditation since the early 1990s, I teach (500RYT) and lead retreats in a small, joyful rural practice community on Lake Superior's shore (land taken by the United States from the Anishinaabe (Ojibwe and Odawa) people in the Treaty of 1836). I take refuge in practice and buddha/dharma/sangha. I feel accountable to learn and grow with the MMTCP sangha, and to apply what I learn for the benefit of self, other, and all beings.
