Hi! I've been exploring the connection between contemplation and creativity since 2006. My paintings have been shown from San Francisco to Rome. In 2007, I started the Art Monastery, a monumental life-as-art social sculpture: an investigation of the application monastic practices to art-making. I lived at Green Gulch Farm / Green Dragon Zen Temple (a Zen Buddhist monastery in California) on & off from 2014 to 2018. I now offer Art & Zen retreats through Art Monastery Hawai’i & San Francisco Zen Center. I live on the ancestral home land of the Kanaka Maoli, Big Island, Hawai’i.
