Bio
Started my vipassana meditation practice with Jack Kornfield in 1987, and maintained a weekly practice until 1997 when starting a family and professional work, and made my practice less regular, and required a several year break from formal practice. During this time, I attended several 10-day long silent retreats, and practiced dharma in daily life. In 2020 I retired from my career in Environmental Protection with the State of California, and embarked on a two year journey to fulfill a long held dream, and become a Certification Mindfulness Teacher with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach (MMTCP training completed Jan 2023).
Since retirement and graduating MMTCP, I have been actively engaged in direct action with local government to build livable cities, the University of California at Santa Cruz Natural History Program, and working to help establish an off-grid, Eco-retreat Ayuvedic Healing Center in Bocas Panama. I am a life long swimmer, I enjoy singing and ukulele, yoga, and laughing whole-heartedly!
