I am a licensed, board-certified psychiatrist (ABPN) in Houston, TX. My practice is holistic, integrating mind-body-heart-spirit for wellness and healing, through psychotherapy and medication. In addition, I provide psychiatric care at a community mental health organization.
I am a certified yoga teacher and certified mind-body medicine skills facilitator, and mindfulness mentor through the MMTP - 2024. I lead mindfulness/mind-body workshops and groups, and guide individuals and groups as a mindfulness mentor . I love to teach and learn from others.
I am an immigrant, born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan, living in Houston for over 35 years. As an individual, my daily practices of mindfulness, yoga, running, guide me to notice and be with the goodness in each of us. I am grateful to volunteer with the homeless and those in recovery! My dogs light up my life!
