Marlene Arzola has been practicing yoga and meditation for almost three decades and decided around 15 years ago to become a yoga and meditation instructor. She completed the two-year, Mindfulness Teacher Certification Program (MMTCP) instructed by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach and is now a certified MMTCP instructor. She has also completed the eight-week, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) certification. Marlene worked for many years as a therapist for foster children. For over ten years, she has been part of the Jackson Health System family, working as Recreation Therapist Supervisor for the Long Term Care. She is also committed to the well-being of the planet and is part of the JHS Climate Committee.
