Bio
I have had a regular mindfulness practice for the past 10 years and completed my Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield in February 2021. Since then, I have been offering general introductory classes in both German and English with an equal focus on mindfulness and the four heart qualities, in-person as well as online. I also offer one-on-one consultations.
Based on my own difficulties when beginning meditation, I became interested in how to make mindfulness practice safe for people who encounter problems when meditating. I have completed the “First Do no Harm” training offered by Willoughby Britton and her colleagues for Cheetah House, including a focus on trauma-sensitive mindfulness. Having several chronic conditions myself, one of which (multiple chemical sensitivity) makes it difficult for me to attend in-person retreats, offering a mindfulness practice that is inclusive and welcoming to a diverse group of meditators is especially important to me. If you have any special needs, please let me know how I can best support you.
In addition to being a mindfulness meditation teacher, I am also a psychologist and a classical homeopath. With this background in holistic health, I am especially interested in offering mindfulness to highly sensitive persons, to persons with chronic conditions, and to persons who navigate the changes of life that come with ageing.
If you think that I might able to support you in your mindfulness practice, please drop me a line (info@heilpraxis-schreier.de). I would love to hear from you.
