Bio
Lacey is a psychotherapist in private practice in Maine. She holds a MSW from University of Southern Maine (2016), a doctorate in Cultural Anthropology from Brown University (2005) and was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Feinstein International Center at Tufts University (2006-2008). Lacey has been practicing Insight Meditation since 2008 and is a certified mindfulness teacher and mindfulness mentor, having completed Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach’s two-year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program (2020) and 25 hour Mindfulness Mentor Certification Program (2022). She currently leads an introductory Mind-Body series as well as monthly Deeper Dive mindfulness sessions through the ALS Association Northern New England chapter. Lacey has worked as a hospice social worker and a clinical counselor with refugee clients at Gateway Community Services. Lacey was co-founder and the Director of Programs for the non-profit Gateway Community Services Maine, which supports the wellbeing of immigrants and refugees in Maine.
