Robert initially pursued a path of science, researching the building blocks of life in the field of molecular biology. In a moment of startling clarity, the lens of inquiry turned inward, shifting focus from the outer world to the scientist himself—the subject of experience. He has since dedicated himself to exploring the inner workings of the mind and what it means to live an examined life in both Eastern and Western philosophical, psychological, and mystical traditions. Through meditation, contemplation, and experimentation, it has become apparent that these diverse systems of thought and practice converge in nonduality—the natural peaceful harmony of simply “what is.” Based in beautiful Heidelberg (Germany), Robert embraces the overarching vision of co-creating safe spaces of authentic connection and meaningful growth in his various roles as a human relations specialist, systemic coach, conflict mediator, and mindfulness teacher (MMTCP Class of 2023). With a profound passion for contact-improvisation dance as a form of relational meditation in motion, Robert brings an embodied understanding of mindfulness practice and creative flow to his work.
