SUMMARY:Mentor-led Sangha | Alison Cohen
DESCRIPTION:Led by MMTCP Mentors\, these sessions offer a place for you to bring any and all of your personal practice and teaching questions and to be in sangha with alumni peers. In each session\, mentors will offer a short talk\, lead a reflective or practice exercise and then offer guidance and wisdom for any questions you have  – much like we had in peer groups.   \n \nThis session is led by Alison Cohen and is from 11 am – 12:30 pm ET;  the Zoom link is here \n \nPlease note: these sessions are not recorded. Now more than ever we need to be in community and though we can’t be together in person\, please join us live for this valuable community. \n \nMore About Alison \nAlison (or Ali) Cohen\, she/her\, has been excited about mindfulness practice since her first Insight Meditation retreat as a young adult. Partway through the week\, held by a supportive community and the land\, guided by dedicated teachers\, she realized there was another way to be in the world\, grounded in presence\, wisdom\, and compassion. Her teaching emphasizes strengthening our capacity for uplifting connection—with our inner landscapes\, with one another and with the wisdom of the dharma as it meets our 21st-century lives. She views inner transformation and commitment to a more just\, joyous world as inseparable.  \n \nAlison is the founder and guiding teacher of Two Wings Mindfulness\, offering courses\, retreats\, and one-on-one guidance. She has served as a mentor in the Power of Awareness and MMTCP\, and has taught in Tara Brach’s Year of Courageous Loving and Choosing to Love courses\, as well as in Buddhist\, Bu-Jewish\, and multi-tradition spaces. A former public school teacher and mindfulness program director\, Alison has trained with Mindful Schools\, the UMass Center for Mindfulness (MBSR)\, the International Institute for Restorative Practices\, and the NY Center for Nonviolent Communication\, and continues to gratefully benefit from the guidance of beloved teachers. \n \nPlease click the link below to RSVP for this event. \nhttps://mmtcpalumni.org/events/

SUMMARY:Information Session | In the Footsteps of the Buddha Pilgrimage
DESCRIPTION:Have you always dreamed of going to India but don’t want to go alone?  Are you feeling called to be in the very places where the Buddha lived\, taught\, and walked?  Do you want to deepen your dharma knowledge?  Or perhaps you are unsure of your relationship to Buddha dharma and want to explore that more?  Maybe you are feeling stuck in your practice and want some inspiration.  Any and all of these are great reasons –  or perhaps you have others – to come with us on this journey! \n \nWherever you are on your post MMTCP training journey\, this transformative trip will deeply impact your practice as well as your offerings if you are teaching.   From day one\, your fellow travelers will feel like old friends – this is the magic sauce that is the MMTCP alumni –  and that connection will only deepen during the trip.  This can be an intense journey – emotionally and physically – so being a group of people who understand your experience is priceless.  \n \nJoin us for an information session to meet Dharmacharya Shantum Seth and the Buddha Path team who will be leading the trip. You will hear more about the trip’s content and logistics as well as have an opportunity to ask questions. If you are on the fence or waiting to decide – maybe this is the inspiration you were waiting for!
