SUMMARY:Mentor-led Sangha | Emily Horn
DESCRIPTION:Led by MMTCP Mentors\, these sessions offer a place for you to bring any and all of your personal practice and teaching questions and to be in sangha with alumni peers. In each session\, mentors will offer a short talk\, lead a reflective or practice exercise and then offer guidance and wisdom for any questions you have  – much like we had in peer groups.   \n \nThis session is led by Emily Horn and is from 11 am – 12:30 pm ET;  the Zoom link is here \n \nPlease note: these sessions are not recorded. Now more than ever we need to be in community and though we can’t be together in person\, please join us live for this valuable community. \n \nMore about Emily \nEmily’s work is deeply influenced by her studies at Naropa University and more than a year of intensive Insight Meditation retreats mentored by Jack Kornfield\, Trudy Goodman  and others in her 20s. For almost two decades\, she has taught retreats around the world\, mentored and trained hundreds of mindfulness teachers. In addition to being an MMTCP mentor\, Emily teaches meditation\, Dharma\, and long residential retreats at Spirit Rock Meditation Center\, Insight Meditation Society\, and InsightLA. \n \nCalled a “power player of the mindfulness movement” by Wired Magazine\, Emily’s teaching and writing have been featured in 10% Happier\, Boston Children’s Hospital’s Comfort Ability Project\, Buddhist Geeks\, and pioneering mindfulness apps such as Brightmind and Buddhify\, including early explorations of mindfulness in VR. Alongside her sister\, Dr. Kirsten West\, she co-founded Mindful Wellness Space—a collaborative healing environment integrating meditation\, functional medicine\, chiropractic care\, acupuncture\, and other restorative modalities. With her husband\, Vincent Horn\, she co-created the groundbreaking Buddhist Geeks conferences and retreats while embracing the profound journey of parenthood.  Learn more about Emily here
