SUMMARY:Joseph Goldstein | Date Rescheduled
DESCRIPTION:We are rescheduling this session to Sunday\, October 19 from 12 – 1:30 pm ET.  We know many of you are participating in the No Kings! events on Saturday;  being present with Joseph in a live session just for our alumni is a rare gift and we look forward to seeing you.  \n \nTime with our beloved Joseph — this has become an annual tradition since we launched and we deeply appreciate Joseph’s support and wisdom. In this session he will talk about ‘mind as the forerunner of all things’ (from one of the opening passages of the Dhammapada).  He will also take your questions either on his talk or anything else coming up for you in practice or teaching.  \n \nThe session is from 12 – 1:30 pm ET;  the Zoom link is here

SUMMARY:Mentor-led Session | Alison Cohen
DESCRIPTION:Led by MMTCP Mentors\, these sessions offer a place for you to bring any and all of your teaching and practice questions and to be in sangha with alumni peers.  In each session\, mentors will offer a short talk and then offer guidance and wisdom for whatever is coming up for you – much like we had in peer groups.   \n \nThis session is from 7 – 8:15 pm ET and will be led by Alison Cohen;  Zoom link is here.      \n \nMore About Alison \nAlison “Ali” Cohen (she/her) is a white cisgender woman based in Washington\, DC\, who has spent 10+ years teaching mindfulness\, often alongside BIPOC colleagues. She is passionate about the intersection of community building\, contemplative practice\, and social justice. Ali’s journey to practice began as a young adult when she was desperate for guidance on how to compassionately navigate her tumultuous internal landscape\, not to mention the world. On an Insight meditation retreat\, she found what she was looking for. Ali is a former public high school teacher and mindfulness program director who teaches trauma-informed mindfulness practice to human beings from many walks of life\, in secular\, Buddhist\, and Jewish spaces. Ali has trained with Mindful Schools and the UMass Memorial Health Center for Mindfulness. \nLearn more about Ali and her offerings here.
