DESCRIPTION:Led by MMTCP Mentors\, these sessions offer a place for you to bring any and all of your teaching and practice questions and to be in sangha with alumni peers.  In each session\, mentors will offer a short talk and then offer guidance and wisdom for whatever is coming up for you – much like we had in peer groups.   \n \nThis session is from 11:00 am – 12:15 pm ET and will be led by Dawn Mauricio (rescheduled from September 9);  Zoom link is here.      \n \nMore about Dawn  \nDawn Mauricio (she/her)\, a Filipina-Canadian\, has been practicing and studying Insight meditation since 2005. She has graduated from the first teacher development group of True North Insight\, and Spirit Rock’s Mindfulness Yoga and Meditation Training\, Dedicated Practitioners’ Program\, and four-year Retreat Teacher Training. She teaches with a playful\, dynamic\, and heartfelt approach for people of color and folks of all backgrounds. Dawn leads daylongs\, retreats\, multiyear programs\, and workshops in Canada and the US for Spirit Rock\, True North Insight\, Sacred Mountain Sangha\, and Insight LA. Dawn is a cofounder of the True North Insight BIPOC practice group\, serves on the guiding teachers council of True North Insight\, and the leadership council for Sacred Mountain Sangha. DESCRIPTION:As part of our Business of Being a Mindfulness Teacher\, this session will address the very important topic of money.  Led by Genevieve Tregor and Jonathan DeYoe\, the session will address the following topics: \n\n\nwhat is right livelihood – ethical practices and alignment  \n\n\nroots of dana and how it has evolved over time\, practices in the western world \n\n\nexploring generosity and how you relate to it  \n\n\ndana vs charging – how do you determine what is right for you\, hybrid \n\n\nfiguring out your financial model; what is your financial need to then identify how many students\, price point\, etc \n\n\nhow to create a budget / financial plan \n\n\nThe session is from 12 – 3 pm ET; the Zoom link is here \n \nMore About Genevieve Tregor \nGenevieve Tregor\, MS\, has practiced vipassana meditation in-depth under Western and monastic teachers since 2008\, with a year-and-a-half in cumulative retreat. She is founding teacher of Insight Meditation Scottsdale community\, SolutionMindfulness.com\, and OneWorldMindfulness.com—creating and teaching classes\, workshops\, and retreats in secular and Buddhist contexts\, and teaching alongside senior teachers in the Insight tradition. \n \nGenevieve seeks to support each student in finding their unique embodied teaching style.
