DESCRIPTION:We kick off another robust year of our meditation\, mindfulness\, and dharma teachers and topical experts speaker series.  As we start what looks to be a turbulent social and political year\, James Baraz will offer us some wise counsel and timely advice in his talk on Cultivating Joy: An Act of Loving Engagement.  We look forward to seeing you!  \n \nJames has been a meditation teacher since 1978 and is creator and teacher of the Awakening Joy course (since 2003). He is also a co-founding Teacher of Spirit Rock Meditation Center in Woodacre\, CA\, co-author of Awakening Joy\, the book based on the course (with Shoshana Alexander) and Awakening Joy for Kids (with Michele Lilyanna) an a Guiding Teacher for One Earth Sangha\, a website devoted to expressing a Buddhist response to Climate Change.   \n \nThe session is from 12 – 1:30 pm ET;  Zoom link is here.
