DESCRIPTION:Topic: Mindfulness and the Greater Good — How can mindfulness be applied to social activism or in addressing societal issues? We’ll discuss the intersection of individual transformation with collective action and how mindfulness can be a tool for societal change. \n  \nFacilitator Bio:  Don Thompson is a mindfulness teacher\, podcaster\, essayist\, and playwright. He teaches mindfulness because practicing both mindfulness and meditation has helped him understand life more deeply and be more effective as a creative. In addition to degrees in Film and Media Studies from UCLA\, Don is an MMTCP graduate of 2023. He is also a founding partner with the Center for Mindful Business and an adjunct professor with the University of Maryland Global Campus.
