DESCRIPTION:Sunita has offered to lead us through her reflections on the swahali saying “pole pole” \nThe meeting is on January 14th – 8.30pm Indian Standard Time \nThere is a Swahili saying here ‘Polè Polè’- meaning slowly\, slowly\, easy easy.  I see the people here being in the moment all the time.The animals in Masai eat\, sleep\, and tend to their offspring for a while and trust they will survive when the time comes to let go. The people here smile\, whether in dire circumstances or not.  Their beauty and presence is mesmerizing.\nI find myself wondering how I got lost in the workings of a first world country and lost the sense of Polè Polè?Is a ‘privileged  life a boon? (As per Budha) This trip has reminded me of so much to be grateful for and not to get caught  up in the day to day drama of life- or at least go Polè Polè when life throws a curveball!
