SUMMARY:MCMT Sangha - Embodying and Radiating the Brahmaviharas
DESCRIPTION:The Brahmaviharas are often taught and practiced using phrases such as “may you be well”. The Buddha also taught a practice of radiating these four divine abodes without using phrases. In this session\, we will explore an embodied practice of radiating loving-kindness\, compassion\, appreciative joy and equanimity to ourselves and others. \nFacilitator Bio: \nAna Grosse began meditating in 1995 when she attended her first 10-day silent Vipassana retreat. Since then she has been committed to a meditation practice and has done retreats in India\, Australia\, Brazil and the United States. She is a graduate of MMTCP and the Mindfulness Mentor Training. Ana is from Argentina and offers meditation classes and retreats in English\, Spanish and French. She also works in the arts and has degrees in acting\, dance and anthropology.

DESCRIPTION:MMTCP Connect:  One Heart\, Many Voices is the first time we will all gather together as alumni!  Join peers from around the world and all three cohorts in a day long virtual feast of inspiring speakers and interesting discussions to support taking the teacher’s seat with greater confidence as well as deepening personal practice.  Full details of the program\, including speakers and topics\, can be found on the Homepage and under the Events tab (–>Announcements and Other Events).  We will be adding more to the program so check the website periodically. We realize you may not be able to attend the whole day; most of the speaker events  will be recorded and available on the Alumni Association website a few weeks after the event. To help us with planning\, please RSVP yes only if you are attending (either full day or some portion); if you are unsure\, please wait till you know your availability.  This event is free for Alumni Association members/included in membership dues; we always welcome donations to support us.

SUMMARY:Information Session | Walking in the Footsteps of the Buddha pilgrimage
DESCRIPTION:We are really excited for this wonderful opportunity for an MTCP alumni only trip to India to visit the actual sites where the historical Buddha was born\, spent his childhood\, attained enlightenment\, taught\, meditated and where he passed away.  Shakyamuni Buddha discovered the truth of overcoming suffering and bringing happiness to the individual\, family and society. Before he died\, the Buddha suggested that it would be of great benefit to those who are interested in his teachings to make a pilgrimage to the places associated with his life.  We will travel in the company of Shantum Seth\, an experienced and renowned guide on the Buddha’s path\, who has been leading pilgrimages since 1988. A Buddhist scholar and practitioner\, he is an ordained Dharma teacher in the Zen tradition of the Vietnamese Master\, Thich Nhat Hanh. As we journey\, Shantum shares stories and teachings of the Buddha and the practices of daily meditation and mindfulness. This spiritually transformative journey will also be intellectually stimulating\, exposing the mind to challenging ideas and diverse lifestyles.  \n \nThe information session is from 10 – 11:15 am ET;  pilgrimage is from November 30 – December 13\, 2025 and will also be co-led by MMTCP Mentor Anne Cushman.  More about the journey and Shantum.   \n  \nPlease RSVP for the information session by clicking yes/no;  the Zoom link is here.
