SUMMARY:MNVC Sangha March Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to our monthly NVC gathering to connect and learn together. We start with a short sit followed by a check-in and then some NVC activity that the group would like to explore. I like to focus my NVC practice on the “roots”\, our feelings and needs\, rather than how to say things in a way that creates a particular outcome. \n  \nZoom:  https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86449117228 \n  \nNew folks without any NVC experience are welcome. myempathycoach.com

SUMMARY:Emerging Leaders Launchpad
DESCRIPTION:  \n  \nMindfulness teachers are all leaders. We have to be. It comes with the territory. For starters\, we lead meditation sessions. But there’s way more to it than that. \n  \nTo attract people to our sessions\, we have to lead them in the direction of joining\, etc. \n  \nAnd in the course of a session or program\, we have to lead them to want to return. \n  \nThere’s no escaping this…it’s just the way things are. \n  \nBut somehow\, many people think leadership is a natural trait\, like playing a sport. You either have it or you don’t. \n  \nNothing could be further from the truth. \n  \nAs mindfulness teachers\, we have perhaps a special invitation – and a unique superpower: the opportunity (or calling) to lead from the heart! \n  \nSo\, how are you doing as a leader right now? Where is your mindfulness teaching career? \n  \nWhat’s working? What isn’t? How do you feel about it all? \n  \nAre you sailing along\, growing a community? Or\, like many of us\, are you still trying to figure out how to get off the ground? Or do you find yourself somewhere in between? \n  \nWhat is the current reality on the ground? Warts and all… \n  \nAnd where is your heart in all of this? Are you living the life your heart is calling you to do? \n  \nThe Emerging Leaders Launchpad has a purpose to create a community of mutual support and friendship for fellow MMTCP graduates to overcome whatever may stand in the way of them taking the next step(s) – and God knows\, there are many obstacles that can appear – real or imagined – technical or personal – to somehow thwart our best intentions. \n  \nWhile the sangha’s aim will constantly be to meet the needs of its members and will adapt as may be required\, each session will include: \n  \n·      A Mastermind session in which a volunteer member poses a question to the group s/he wishes to think about – like how to grow my practice\, get people to return\, what to teach\, tools to use\, etc. \n  \n·      Breakout Room(s) – in which members can discuss relevant issues \n·      Individual check-ins and group discussion. \n  \nAs the saying goes\, it takes a village. And we are a village! An interconnected village. \n  \nSo come help us get started. We’ll laugh. We’ll cry. And we’ll sing and dance our way to a better world. \n  \nStarting on March 23 at 10:30-12:00 noon\, EDT (GMT-5). \n  \nSee you there! \n  \nWarmly\, \n  \nSteve \n  \n  \n

SUMMARY:MCMT Sangha - The Simple Suchness of Nonduality
DESCRIPTION:Nonduality simply means “not-two” and points to the fundamental absence of duality or separation of phenomena. Nonduality teachings can be discerned in many\, if not all\, wisdom traditions\, but are usually either wrapped in esoteric mysticism requiring elaborate and arduous practices\, coded in religious language\, or conceptualised in philosophical treaties\, to name a few of the common practical and psychological hurdles. The difficulty consists in the unavoidable paradoxical nature of nonduality\, which can only be accessed by direct experience\, and not “understood” with the faculties of the mind. Nonduality goes by countless names and has a multitude of qualities\, some non-traditional ones being: Choiceness Awareness\, Unconditional Love\, Boundless Freedom\, Timeless Presence\, or Inexpressible Essence. While resting into nonduality is a moment-by-moment opportunity and challenge that might take a life-long practice (and an act of grace) to “perfect” or “stabilise” (terms common in Buddhism)\, getting a taste\, or a glimpse of nonduality is possible and available to us all\, perhaps even independent of spiritual maturity. I invite us all to open to the simple\, ordinary\, and\, in a sense\, obvious nature of nonduality.

SUMMARY:Tara Brach: Teaching in the Midst of Deep Division
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, March  2 from 12 – 1:30 pm ET.  Our political systems\, communities and even our families are facing deep divisions and these divisions often seem insurmountable. How do we address the pressing challenges of our times – politics\, climate crisis\, conflict and suffering – when we can’t agree on common starting points? How do we hold each other in love and compassion when it feels like we are yelling across great divides? Tara will offer support and practical guidance on how we teach in these moments and how we show up for our students\, friends\, family and ourselves even when it seems impossible and daunting. Register here ;  Zoom link is here.  We invite you to pre-submit questions for Tara.
