With over 11 years of experience\, Lama Rod is highly respected among his peers and the communities that he serves. SUMMARY:Mentor-led Series | Dawn Haney
DESCRIPTION:Led by MMTCP Mentors\, these sessions offer a place for you to bring any and all of your teaching and practice questions and to be in sangha with alumni peers.  In each session\, mentors will offer a short talk and then offer guidance and wisdom for whatever is coming up for you – much like we had in peer groups. These sessions have been so rich and supportive that this year we are offering them twice a month and alternating times so our peers around the world can join more often.  This session will be led by Dawn Haney ;  Zoom link is here.   \n \nDawn Haney (they/she) braids together wisdom from Buddhism and social justice traditions\, understanding identity\, power\, and change through their own experiences as a white\, fat\, queer\, nonbinary femme. A former co-director with the Buddhist Peace Fellowship\, she teaches with the East Bay Meditation Center and the global Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program. You can find Dawn online at dawnhaney.net

SUMMARY:Mindful Journaling
DESCRIPTION:“We write to taste life twice\, \nin the moment\, and in retrospect.” \nAnais Nin \nMindfulness quiets the mind and opens the heart\, mindful journal-ers listen to the heart and mind\, and write. The writing sorts out the soul by bringing  into the light that which was dim. The writing leads to unexpected and welcome discovery and a natural movement toward change. \nWhether you are an avid journal-er or first timer you are welcome to a shared space for mindful writing\, and sharing (if you like).

SUMMARY:Asia Sangha
DESCRIPTION:CONGRATULATIONS to the graduating class of 25 from the Asia Sangha!! \nWe are a small group of MMTCP graduates who have a connection to South Asia (through heritage or because we live in South Asia or anything else which connects us to the region).   Since our inception\, about 3 years ago\, we have found this connection highly valuable in examining and contextualizing our MMTCP training and its offerings\, in the cultures and socio-economic settings\, that characterize this part f the world. \nWe meet on the second Sunday of every month at 9pm Indian Standard Time – the timing is a core value for our sangha\, as it allows members living in timezones from the Pacific Coast of the USA right up to South Asia and a little bit beyond\, to be able to participate.   We extend a warm welcome to all those interested in joining us.
