SUMMARY:Mentor-led Sangha | Alison Cohen
DESCRIPTION:Led by MMTCP Mentors\, these sessions offer a place for you to bring any and all of your personal practice and teaching questions and to be in sangha with alumni peers. In each session\, mentors will offer a short talk\, lead a reflective or practice exercise and then offer guidance and wisdom for any questions you have  – much like we had in peer groups.   \n \nThis session is led by Alison Cohen and is from 11 am – 12:30 pm ET;  the Zoom link is here \n \nPlease note: these sessions are not recorded. Now more than ever we need to be in community and though we can’t be together in person\, please join us live for this valuable community. \n \nMore About Alison \nAlison (or Ali) Cohen\, she/her\, has been excited about mindfulness practice since her first Insight Meditation retreat as a young adult. Partway through the week\, held by a supportive community and the land\, guided by dedicated teachers\, she realized there was another way to be in the world\, grounded in presence\, wisdom\, and compassion. Her teaching emphasizes strengthening our capacity for uplifting connection—with our inner landscapes\, with one another and with the wisdom of the dharma as it meets our 21st-century lives. She views inner transformation and commitment to a more just\, joyous world as inseparable.  \n \nAlison is the founder and guiding teacher of Two Wings Mindfulness\, offering courses\, retreats\, and one-on-one guidance. She has served as a mentor in the Power of Awareness and MMTCP\, and has taught in Tara Brach’s Year of Courageous Loving and Choosing to Love courses\, as well as in Buddhist\, Bu-Jewish\, and multi-tradition spaces. A former public school teacher and mindfulness program director\, Alison has trained with Mindful Schools\, the UMass Center for Mindfulness (MBSR)\, the International Institute for Restorative Practices\, and the NY Center for Nonviolent Communication\, and continues to gratefully benefit from the guidance of beloved teachers. \n \nPlease click the link below to RSVP for this event. \nhttps://mmtcpalumni.org/events/
